House Rules

We spent the New Years weekend up in "The Cities" visiting kid, kid-in-law and grandkids. It wasn't there very long before I met my "Laugh" for the day. It has become a custom in the Nimz household that upon entering one removes his or her shoes and leaves them in a pile by the door. It's no big deal and little Eddie accommodates visitors and residents alike by retrieving shoes and slippers for them when needed. It seems that a newcomer to the house wasn't aware of the practice so . . . Eddie lent a hand. He picked up the visitor, Mr. Potatohead, removed his shoes (feet still inside) and placed them with the other shoes at the doorway.

Naturally this left the Tater guy disabled and unstable but, after a logical explanation from Mama, Eddie reattached the shoes (feet included) to the proper spud spot, I had a good laugh and the Tater and Tot lived happily ever after.

  1. Really makes me smile when we realize how smart our kids actually are, and how even though they are little think so adult like...
